There is a fabulous fireplace in the living room and french doors open out onto the balcony which overlooks a mountain stream and offers fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. The spacious apartment easily accommodates up to six guests across the two king size beds and 1 king size sofa bed in the television lounge. Entertainment includes wifi, blu-ray dvd, television and playstation 2. Access to the 5* spa facilities is included with the apartment. The spa includes heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, hamman, fully equipped gymnasium and massage facilities. Other leisure facilities include pool table and table football.
château d'oex is a delightful traditional village with many amenities in the french-speaking part of switzerland. Château d'oex is a world-renowned centre for hot air ballooning and every january there is an international hot air balloon week. There is a wide selection of restaurants and cafes, together with car hire, sports equipment rental, video rental and daily international newspapers. There is an excellent supermarket and traditional food shops. There are banks, a tourist office, cinema and museum. All denominational churches including anglican. Year round concerts, recitals and traditional alpine events. The excellent swiss rail service gives easy access throughout switzerland and europe. Taxis for guests are available from the station and geneva by arrangement. The train from geneva airport to château d'oex is straightforward with a change in montreux.
